Water Filters Review.
There are three main types of water filters on the market today. I am going to take you through the basics of
each one of them and from there you will hopefully be able to make your own choice of which water filter is for
you.

There are other systems available, but these three are the main line filtration units.
Please be aware of this one point. Perfectly purified water is not what your body is crying for and if you are on
the quest for pure H2O, then you will still need to look one step further. This is mineralization. Mineral
deficiency is the cause of countless deseases and leaving your body deficient of such, opens the door to many of
the modern day illnesses that are occuring with alarming and escalating statistics.
The three basic types of
water filters are as follows:
Water Distillation.
Carbon Filtration.
Reverse Osmosis.
Let's take up Distilled Water first.
Distilled water units have the goal of bringing to you perfectly pure H2O. No contaminents, just pure water.
This is acheived by boiling the water and having the pure water separate by boiling off the top. The steam is then
collected at the top of the unit and taken aside in its pure form. Some systems even have a double boiling process
giving the water a second chance to separate without any impurities.
The purity of the water is now dependant on the cleanliness of the system and also being able to ensure that any
contaminents with a boiling point less than 100%, that of water, is also separated through the use of one of these
water filters. There are some very high quality units available that take this into consideration and provide near
perfect H2O.
Carbon Filter Units.
Carbon is the substance that has long been used to absorb impurities and is perhaps the most powerful
absorbent known to man. One pound of carbon contains a surface area of roughly 125 acres and can absorb literally
thousands of different chemicals. This is an incredible surface area ratio compared to the square inch volume of
such water filters.
Carbon Filters can also be activated to make them even more absorbive of water impurities. Activated carbon is
carbon which has a slight electro-positive charge added to it, making it even more attractive to chemicals and
impurities. As the water passes over the positively charged carbon surface, the negative ions of the contaminants
are drawn to the surface of the carbon granules. A very effective technology.
You will find that carbon water filters are among the cheapest and most readily available on the market today with
all general stores distributing simple, but effective carbon filtration systems. For removal of general
contaminents from your tap water, this is the fastest and easiest way to assure protection of your family through
water filtration.
Reverse Osmosis Systems.
Reverse Osmosis is the most effective form of water filtration on the market today. The pores in a reverse osmosis
membrane are only approximately 0.0005 micron in size (bacteria are 0.2 to 1 micron & viruses are 0.02 to 0.4
microns). This standard of filtration surely guarantees protection for you and your family.
Most bottled water companies use this method of filtration to guarantee a high quality water for their consumer
market.
The difference between using any of the above water filters and using plain tap water is actually no different
than playing Russian Roulette with your family's health. You really have no idea where your water has been or what
it has had to go through before it has reached your lips. Tape the first step using at least a cheap carbon filter
from your local supermarket to cleanse your water source.
I hope that these tips have been helpful for you. I will be bringing you detailed articles on each of these
filtration methods in the near future. Until then learn more about the second step towards true hydration with
effective mineralization of your drinking water. I call it
