Love and Appreciation. What wonderful words. In fact there is probably nothing further that is desired from a parent of a child to receive love and appreciation for the job that they have done in raising their kids.

Like wise in the reverse flow, a happy child is one that knows they are loved and appreciated for who they are and for what they do. The universal solvent of all relationships could be defined right here with just these two words. For after all is said and done, what else do we want left over.

With love songs strewn with it and movies producing countless misrepresentations of it year after year, there probably is not much more of a confused subject on this planet. "I Love You!" But why did you go and do that for. So I hope that I can with a little help shed a some light on this subject.

I found the most wonderful definition for Love in a book written by L Ron Hubbard called Self Analysis. Ron defines in this book beautifully that "love is an intensity of happiness addressed in a certain direction." Wow!

"I sure am glad to see you and I have missed you while you were away." That's love.

As you can see, the water responds proportionately to the words communicated and the thoughts behind these words. You just can't fake it. But you sure can turn up the volume a heap more and make the person receiving your flow of happiness really get the message that you love them.

Appreciation▸ noun: an expression of gratitude ("He expressed his appreciation in a short note")

Simple yet poweful. There are a large array of words in every language of man kind that we can use to express our gratitude. "Well Done!" "Good Job!" "Thank you so much. This is wonderful." I am sure that you can come up with some beauties. Write em down and practice them in the mirror. Once you start to practice Love and Appreciation you will be amazed at the results.
