View the next slide: Water Crystals France The Japanese city of Hiroshima (ڍu, Hiroshima-shi?) is the capital of Hiroshima Prefecture, and the largest city in the Chgoku region of western Honsh, the largest of Japan's islands. It is known throughout the world as the first city in history subjected to nuclear warfare when it was bombed by the United States of America on August 6, 1945 during World War II. Sinse the devastation of the WW II Atomic Bomb, hiroshima has become a region of cleanliness and environmental protection. With water being the one thing that will wash away nuclear radiation, the rainfall and continual clean up on this region of long history and culture is now a strong point of the Japanese nation. I can never forget the images of atomic bombs as a child looking through encylopedias and reading of the 70,000 plus dead population of Hiroshima after this bombing. The horendous devastation and nuclear clean up. Today we have little trace other than the momorial left in its reminder. But the evidence of success is in the water crystals you see above. The water source is the first indication of a clean and healthy environment. May the people of Hiroshima enjoy clean water for the eternity of this Japanese nation.
