Reverse Osmosis

If you are looking at a reverse osmosis water filtration system and the possibility of purchasing or trying to understand what one of these filters is, then this article is for you. If you search on the net for definitions of this, you will most probably find, as I did, very scientific, but hard to uderstand, explanation of how this water filtration system works.

Our Drinking Water

Let us firstly define these two key words.

reverse: Opposite to.

Osmosis: diffusion of molecules through a semipermeable membrane from a place of higher concentration to a place of lower concentration until the concentration on both sides is equal.

Or in plain English, having two different solutions balance each other out by diluting into each other through a membrane with holes in it.

So the reverse of this, " reverse osmosis", is that of the solution on one side of the membrane, or filter, becoming fully concentrated and the other becoming completely pure. The other, completely pure side is the water that comes out of the system and into our drinking glass.

This is what we are looking for as the first step in filtered water. Completely pure water, free of all contaminents. But be warned, this also means water completely free of the essential minerals and trace elements that our body vitally requires for health, vitality and longevity.

So let us take reverse filter osmosis as that vital and important step in acheiving an excellent water supply, but not the end result that we are looking for in regards to excellent health. In fact, if you are drinking water in such a pure source such as distilled water or as is with reverse osmosis, you run the risk of becoming vulnerable to such deseases as osteopurosis which is "abnormal loss of bony tissue resulting in fragile porous bones attributable to a lack of calcium; most common in postmenopausal women" or other mineral deficient deseases.

If you have an excellent source of organic nutrician and supplimentation and keep this up, then this should not be too much of a problem. But having an excellent and now pure source of water with the correct essential mineral balance is the most basic and easy way for you to digest and assimilate these minerals into your body tissue.

So do take that first step of purifying your water with a good quality reverse osmosis water purification system, but also ensure that you are then afterwards restructuring your water, as is done with The ultimate Drinking Water! and guarantee an excellent source of health.

Originally reverse osmosis was used for the separation of salt from sea water to create fresh water. This is the process known as desalination and is what local water board authorities are investing in to handle the lack of water supplies in water shortage periods. This was first introduced about 40 years ago and since that time became an accepted household way of obtaining a pure water supply.

So if you are looking into the possible purchase of a reverse osmosis water filtration system, then you are actually looking at one of the best technologies for and energy efficient ways of acheiving pure water. Remember that it is a vital step in obtaining pure water but is only the first. Ensure that the second and vital step of restructuring your water is also effectively obtained.
