Hydration!
The truth of hydration may rock your ideas and faith in those
well advertised and lovely labels on our favourite sports drink.

It definitely feels great to have a cool, lovely, sweet, flowing flavoured sports drink
guzzling down your throat, but what is this really doing to your internal system in regards
to hydration. Your body is craving for rehydation due to the loss of the essential minerals
and trace elements. A great tasting drink is in most cases a chancy way of achieving this.
When you work out hard and really crack a good heavy sweat, your body loses at a rapid rate the
electrolytes that are such a vital part of your bodies internal communication system. It is
great to crack a sweat and raise your metabolism rate, but if you don't replace what you
sweat out, then your metabolism will actually crash.
.
With correct fluid and mineral replacement you will recover rapidly and will in fact be able to get a good nights
sleep afterwards. Exhaustion and dehydration both go hand in hand with insomnia. Have you ever
just pushed it a little too hard at the gym, or didn't slide back into your excercise routine
on a gentle gradient. I know I always forget about giving myself a bit of credit for taking a
break. Well! If you hydrate your body after this correctly, you will be able to sleep at
night afterwards. Lying in bed with pictures swirling around in you head is only a sign of
improper rehydration.
Ok! This is really easy to obtain. It is not rocket science, but you do need a little awareness
of how dehydration occures and why you feel bad in this state. Also, how to replenish yourself
after rigorous excercise. In order to restore these essential minerals and trace elements that we
call electrolytes. With these restored back into your system, your communication is easily able to
work again and the messages conveying the normal command of operation through you nervous system
flows free and easy.
That is the definition if hydration.
