calcium in drinking water
Why would we need calcium in our
drinking water
?
Our drinking water is the best medium bar none for getting the correct absorption of calcium and many of those other essential minerals. Of course there are many other food and drink sources that are high in calcium, but the key factor here is weather or not your digestive system is able to absorb those key minerals and nutrients.
So what is calcium and what is this element that is so vital to the strength of our bones, ligiments, teeth and vital to the strength of so many other vital body organs and systems?
Definition:
- Calcium is the 20th Element on the Periodical Table.
- In the core of this element it has 20 protons and 20 neutrons.
- This central core is surrounded by 20 orbiting electrons.
.
Why is this element the building block of our bone and other body structures? Well we would have to go back to the manufacturer to really get the truth on that answer. Whether it be part of the "natural" evolutionary process or the design of our supreme being, it is just the way that best works for our bodies and those of the other amazing creatures that we share this planet with.
One fact that will help you to understand calcium and the importance of to our health and longevity is the following average on human bodies. Calcium is an essential component in the life-long process of laying down new bone structure. Later in life, calcium helps our bodies maintain bone mass. Before you reach thirty years of age, more bone is made than lost; after thirty, this trend reverses and a healthy diet truely is vital to ensure that your body stays strong and vital
through your later years.
Later in life we then start to get confused with the mixed information we start receiving on calcium the effects of this on our aging bodies. If we don't get enough, we have the fear of
developing osteoperosis. Lack of calcium in our bones. Or if we have too much calcium, then we can get calcium deposits on our joints causing them to cease up.
So what can we do to ensure that our intake is correct?
Calcium can be absorbed in so may different ways. I have noticed lately the marketing labels on white bread stating "Extra Calcium For Healthy Bones!" So how is calcium being added to these products. Do they just spoon a few cup fulls of calcium powder into the flour mix before the loaves are cooked up in the oven? Who knows. This really isn't being policed to heavily.
The surest source is calcium is drinking water. Your body is most easily able to absorb calcium though the digestive system when calcium is being carried along in the mineral water you are
drinking. Also when it is nicely hydrated, it is able to flow through to the body correctly without leaving deposit build ups in the wrong body parts. Calcium is meant to be absorbed into
our system, not to deposit around various parts and block the natural bodily flows.
Here you can see calcium fully hydrated by the water molecules.
.
This in itself is a huge subject and guaranteeing a pure water source with the correct balance of calcium and the other essential minerals and trace elements can be achieved. Nature provides this water at thousands of beautiful locations around the globe. That is if you are able to find the unpolluted ones.
.
If you are like the billions on this planet that do not have such a water source at your finger tips then simulating the ideal conditions is not that difficult. All you need is the following:
Filter your water with a quality water filter. A simple way of restructuring the water with the correct minerals and trace elements. With this done, your water should now settle at the correct pH which is a little alkaline.
Now your intestines are able to absorb the calcium in drinking water correctly for you bodily function. Correctly structured water is also essential for digestion and absorption if nutrients from our foods and suppliments.
